Why do I need to clear my browser history?
Your web browser holds on to your web-browsing information and saves it to your computer in order for everything to load quickly. You should periodically clear the browsing history for each web browser that you use to improve performance. If you use multiple types of browsers (Edge and Chrome, for example) you will need to clear them both.
Clearing the cache for a specific page:
- Click on the triple dot icon in the top-right corner
- Go to Settings
- Select Cookies and other site data
- Select See all cookies and site data
- In the Search Cookies field, type part of the URL that you are trying to clear and it will list all found.
- Click on Remove All Shown to clear the site data
- Go back to the website you were trying to access and it should open the most recent version.
What is a Hard Refresh?
A hard refresh clears your browser cache for a specific page, which forces it to load the most recent version of that page. This could include new scripts, styles or features.(PLEASE NOTE THIS OPTION DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK)
Important: Clicking the “Refresh” arrow on your browser address bar is not a hard refresh.
How to clear your cache through a hard refresh on any browser:
Chrome | Edge | Firefox |
Shift + Reload (Refresh) Key OR Ctrl + Shift + r OR Ctrl or Shift or fn key + F5 |
Shift or fn key + F5 | Ctrl + F5 |
